Are you part of the flock?

Dear friend reading this, are you part of the flock?

Cassie, Little One, Arnold, and Precious are part of their shepherd’s flock because they trusted him and began following him.

How about you? Have you trusted the Lord Jesus to be your Savior and begun following Him?

It’s not impossible that a person may come to this blog only once. I want them to be able to find in that one visit how they can join the Shepherd’s flock.

My pastor explains that becoming a part of the flock is as simple as A B C. Even a very young child can understand.

A – Admit you are a sinner and deserve God’s punishment. You may think “I’ve never killed anybody or robbed a bank. I’m not a sinner. ” Admit it. Every one of us has sinned. Sin isn’t just the big stuff like murder. It can be words. It can be thoughts. It can be feelings. It can be desires. It can be anything that we should have done, said, thought, desired or felt and didn’t. And God says each of us is guilty and deserves death.

BUT…

Because God loves each of us so much, He sent His Son, Jesus, to take our place and die for us. Do you believe that? Do you believe Jesus did exactly what God says He did? B is for believe.

C – Confess and call. If you can admit you are a sinner and believe that Jesus died in your place, then tell Him that in prayer and ask Him to save you from the punishment you deserve.

If you do this in sincerity (and God knows your heart so don’t bother trying to fool Him), then He promises to save you and make you part of His flock.
