In Your New Pasture

Well, Little One, how do you like your new pasture? I think you’re going to be happy here. Your shepherd has brought you to a place with fresh, green grass to eat, still water to drink and room to grow. See those trees behind you? They’re nice and tall. I think Arnold will like them. Who’s Arnold? I hope you and Arnold will become good friends here in this new pasture. I can see you’re happy. You’re jumping for joy at your new home. (If you go back to the picture on the title page of this blog, you will see Little One on the far right, jumping for joy.)

Our Shepherd does that with His flock, too, Little One. Sometimes He moves us to different pastures. We may not like to move. We may not like the trip there. But we can always trust that our Shepherd knows what is best for His sheep and will take good care of them.

What about you, my friend? Do you know this Shepherd? Do you trust him as Little One trusts his shepherd? Possibly the most famous verse in the Bible, John 3:16, tells us how we can know this Shepherd. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Will you believe this Shepherd and meet Him by faith right now?

    1. I’m learning how to do this blogging thing. I have a goal regarding the frequency of posting but I don’t dare say what that goal is because I don’t want to make a promise and then break it. I’m going to learn along with Little One. πŸ™‚
